LOCATION

Quick Silver/Reef Roamer
99571 Overseas Highway (MM 101), Key Largo, FL, 33037

DESCRIPTION

WHEN: Meet at Quick Silver/Reef Roamer check-in booth at Key Largo Resorts & Marina (MM100, next to the Courtyard Marriott) by 11:00 am. We’ll need to check-in early and have our gear assigned to us, etc.
COST: $33 per person. This price includes the boat trip, snorkeling equipment, buoyancy vests & gratuity. The price does not include food. The preferred payment is by check payable to BSA Troop 457.

WHEN TO PAY: Payment in advance is required. Please be prepared to pay at the September 10th or Sept. 17th troop meeting. Please RSVP, if at all possible by Sept. 10th! We have limit of 91 people (Coast Guard guidelines) hence reservations will be on a first-come basis. Regretfully, if more people show up, they won’t be able to board.

FORMS: All participants will need to bring the signed Release of Liability form (signed by a parent or guardian for those under 18 – please ensure scouts in a carpool have this form with them or they can’t participate!). PLEASE DON’T FORGET THIS FORM!

ON THE BOATS: Coolers will be available on the boats for our lunches/beverages. (Must pack a lunch/drinks - NO GLASS BOTTLES!!!). Our rate includes snorkeling gear and buoyancy vests! We are scheduled for the 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm afternoon trip which includes visiting two different reef / snorkeling sites.

MORE INFO: Reef Roamer and Quicksilver catamarans is a family owned and operated business and offers trips to the shallow water reefs of John Pennekamp State Park and the National Marine Sanctuary. They offer snorkeling and sailing adventures daily where you can enjoy the most stable ride to the coral reefs aboard their 50 ft USCG certified sailing catamarans.

DIRECTIONS: Just head down to the Key Largo! MM100 in Key Largo Resorts & Marina, next to the Courtyard Marriott. Travel time is approx. 1 hour but I would suggest leaving early and stopping for snack in Key Largo before departure as sometimes there are delays on the two lane portion between Florida City & Key Largo!
