CAMP EVERGLADES WORK DAY

Thank you Jim Happell for organizing this event.

DATE(S)

19 NOV 2011

LOCATION

Camp Everglades

DESCRIPTION

Do you like to camp at Camp Everglades? Then we need your help in getting the camp ready for this winter's camping season.

The main effort will be to get the camp mowed and the roads cleared of overhanging brush. Other potential projects include painting shelters, painting signs, painting bathrooms, rebuilding fire rings or cleaning the main shelter. I always welcome suggestions on other service projects that people would like to do at the camp!!

Please bring your mowers, weed wackers and other yard tools. Large ncommercial mowers such as bush hogs, Dixie choppers, etc are especially needed. Other types of riding mowers as well as push mowers are also useful and needed. Don't forget your hats, gloves, bug spray, and suntan lotion.

Drinks and lunch will be provided by South Florida Council.

This is a perfect opportunity for Boy Scouts and Venture members to earn service hours. Webelos participation is also welcome. Sorry but this work is inappropriate and unsafe for younger cub scouts.

Limited camping will be available for those interested in staying overnight. You must first contact Jim Happell before making a camping reservation at the council office.
